English Trifle

2 cups
premade pudding (any flavor)
1 lemon pound cake
cut in 1" slices
bananas cut in bite-sized pieces
2 cups
blueberries, drained
fresh peaches cut in bite-sized pieces
kiwi peeled & sliced
2 cups
sliced fresh strawberries
1/4 cup
brown sugar
1/2 cup
Grand Mariner liquor
1 pint
whipping cream
1 pint
nonfat plain yogurt
  1. Whip the whipping cream to a soft peak using a chilled, dry stainless steel bowl and whip

  2. Stir in yogurt and fold into the whipped cream

  3. Place slices of pound cafe on the bottom of a 3-quart glass bowl

  4. Sprinkle Grand Mariner over the cake

  5. Later pieces of 1 banana, 1 cup blueberries, pieces of 1 peach, 1 kiwi, and 1 cup sliced strawberries over the pound cake slices

  6. Spread half of the pudding over the fruit

  7. Spread a third of the whipped cream/yogurt mixture over the pudding

  8. Place a layer of lemon cake over the whipped cream/yogurt mixture

  9. Repeat steps 4-8 and save a handful of fruit to garnish the top of the trifle

  10. Top with remaining whipped cream/yogurt mixture

  11. Sprinkle brown sugar on top and garnish with fruit

  12. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours (overnight is best!)
