Tilapia in Garlic Cilantro Butter Sauce

13m

1.5 lb
tilapia, thawed
1.5 Tbsp
butter
2 diced
shallots
2 minced
cloves garlic
1/4 tsp
paprika
1/4 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
2/3 cup
vegetable stock
2
lemon juices
1/4 cup
Parmesan cheese, grated
2 Tbsp
cilantro, additional for garnish, chopped
  1. Rinse tilapia and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, add butter and shallots, cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant

  3. Add garlic, tilapia, paprika, salt, pepper, stock, and lemon juice. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until tilapia starts to become white and no longer opaque.

  4. Reduce heat, flip fillets, and sprinkle with Parmesan and cilantro. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until the fish is sold white, and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. Plate and drizzle sauce over each fillet. If sauce is still very thin, increase the heat and cook for a few minutes longer, until the sauce reduces and thickens. Garnish with additional cilantro if desired.
